A man drinking water in bright sunlight

Long shifts, turnout gear and Valley heat

A 24 or 48 in a Fresno summer, a call in full turnouts, a wildfire assignment up the hill. You sweat out more than you can drink. An IV replaces fluids and electrolytes directly, in 30 to 60 minutes, with a registered nurse watching how you respond.

It’s a wellness service, not treatment for heat illness, smoke exposure or injuries. Many people feel better once they’re rehydrated, and that’s what we’ll promise.

Bring the crew

Six private chairs in one room, ten minutes from most Fresno and Clovis stations. Call or text a day and time and we’ll line them up. Everyone fills out a short health history, and everyone gets the discount with their ID.

Questions

Firefighter and EMS questions

Is there a firefighter discount on IV therapy in Fresno?

Yes. Firefighters, EMTs and paramedics get 10% off every IV drip, NAD+ infusion, iron infusion and vitamin shot at I Vie, every visit.

Who counts?

Career and volunteer firefighters, CAL FIRE and US Forest Service crews, city and county fire, ambulance EMTs and paramedics, and fire dispatchers. Retired firefighters too.

Can the whole crew come in?

Yes. We can run up to six chairs at once. Call or text with a day and we’ll hold them. See groups and events for how it works.

Can I come in right after a shift?

Yes, if you’re feeling okay. Eat something, bring water, and tell the nurse how long you’ve been on. If you have signs of heat illness or smoke inhalation, that’s a 911 or ER visit, not an IV appointment.

Does an IV clear smoke out of my system?

No, and be careful with anyone who says it does. An IV rehydrates you. Smoke exposure and breathing problems need a doctor.

What ID works?

Your department or agency ID, an EMT or paramedic card, or a retiree ID.

When it’s not an IV visit: chest pain, trouble breathing, confusion, fainting, or heat illness with a high temperature or no sweating is an emergency. Call 911. IV therapy is a wellness service and doesn’t treat heat stroke, injuries or illness.
