Why fluids by IV

Blood in vomit or stool, severe or localized belly pain, a fever over 102, signs of serious dehydration (no urine for 8 hours, confusion, fainting), you’re pregnant, or symptoms last more than two days. We’d rather send you to the right place than take your money.

What if I can’t stop throwing up?
Call us first. If you can’t keep anything down for more than a day, have blood in vomit or stool, severe belly pain, a high fever or you’re dizzy when you stand, you need urgent care or the ER.
How fast does it work?
Most people feel the fluids within the hour. The drip itself takes 30 to 60 minutes.
Food poisoning?
