What a lipotropic shot is
“Lipotropic” describes compounds that take part in how the liver processes fat. The classic blend is methionine, inositol and choline, usually paired with B12 for energy. People add them to a weight-loss plan, often weekly.
What they are not: a substitute for the plan itself. Nobody loses weight from a shot alone, and we won’t tell you otherwise.

Do lipo shots make you lose weight?
Not on their own. They’re a support people add to a plan that already includes food changes, movement and, for some, provider-prescribed medication. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
